I walk through thorns, the darkest road,
I see my fears along the way,
The pictures of my past, my strongly marked sins,
This is the place where the journey begins.

My hands are empty, but heart is full,
My mind is in the hell, but eyes can see the truth,

These fields are poisonous, they're filled with scorn,
And even death is here to mourn,
Eyes turn bloody red, and bones become so frail,
I have to go across, to find my Holy Grail.

Through thorns I walk, with cuts I'm covered,
Deep wounds are filled with viscid blood.

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74
