I see my bleeding heart conceive,
On this lonely, blackened eve,
Under the stars, under the rain,
Perdition born beneath the pain.
[The blowing of the wind sings to me.
The spectre of the elements gives me zest.]
I learn from the telling dark,
And wisdom born beneath the bark,
There's more to this decaying land,
Than broken vows traced in sand.
Conciliation, I regain the fire.
Your wretched hand, I lead to the pyre.
Conciliation, I regain desire.
Your crooked tongue, I lead to the fire.
Torment me how?
I elevate higher!
Remember me,
As your heart expires.
Conciliation, torments the liar.
My conscious clear, I sleep to the lyre now.
In the ever-burning sea, my spirit now set free.
Under ever-burning stars, my hate is torn apart.
I take refuge,
In my own mind.
To save myself,
And to unbind,
This ill-fated,
Cold heart of mine.
From the clench of
Your wretched hands.
I hold but slight communion,
In this church of futility.
I will now forge,
From this prison,
Celestial realities.

Californian quartet defining themselves as Sci-Fi black metal, maybe due to cosmic and interstellar topics, sounding like blackened death metal too ("The Maw"). It's a well-balanced melodic black metal album, with some fast-paced tracks and nice rhythmic transitions reminding me of Swiss band Celtic Frost (e.g. Terminal Odyssey). In other words not overly dominated by drum speed and also not sounding as extreme or as raw as some BM can be. sachavonkarl74
